How many people do you know that have made it to the hall of fame in any field, in mathematics, music, literature, science, business or sports because of their love? We tend to elevate people and their statuses because of what they can do and what they have - their achievements, their gifts, their talents, their money and their power. Very rarely, do we praise or elevate people because of their love. But when we look from God's perspective, love is so valued and important. The most powerful and beautiful act in history itself was driven by God’s love for his enemies. It is God’s love and mercy that paid the highest price, the life of the Son of God, Jesus himself, for completely undeserving enemies...and he brings us into eternal life and joy in his presence.
